Parts of Orchid Meadows have taken on something of a Mediterranean feel. No, really. Our giant beef tomatoes are starting to ripen in the polytunnel, surrounded by the rich aroma of basil, and you can't help but think about Bolognese sauce. And in Lynn's Greek-style little courtyard garden, we are picking figs daily, drying them in the Aga and having them for breakfast the following morning.
