A stay at Orchid Meadows really can be a boost to mind, body and soul.

 

Evidence shows that connecting with nature can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, improve our mood, help us feel more relaxed, lower blood pressure, improve physical health, lead to better sleep quality, boost confidence and self-esteem, and help reduce loneliness.

 

In June 2026 NHS Wales, Healthy Working Wales and RSPB launched a nature and well-being guide providing month-by-month tips on how to reap the benefits of being outdoors. It is primarily a tool for the workplace but is just as relevant for leisure time too. Orchid Meadows is a nature reserve and rewilding site with flower-rich meadows, wetland and young woodland, as well as having fabulous gardens, orchards and vegetable growing areas.
