Outdoor bushcraft experiences are now available for 2026 and they have been exclusively devised for glamping guests at Orchid Meadows.
Local forest school natur ni (our nature) can provide personalised sessions for adults and children staying in Tawny Little House, Red Kite Yurt or Goldfinch Glampavan and they are completely onsite.
They are led by qualified Forest School Leader Cath Moyle, who was born and raised in West Wales. Over 40-plus years, she has amassed generations’ worth of nature-based knowledge.

Wild foraging: Much more than just food!
Join Cath on a sensory two-hour journey into the herbs, trees and other wild edibles around Orchid Meadows. Discover their traditional and food uses as well as their place in the Welsh landscape and language as you walk across meadows, past hedgerows and through woodland.
You will experience:

The basics of sustainable foraging and the law.

How to Identify a selection of common wild edibles safely.

How foraged plants can be used in traditional, general medicine and first aid.

Wild edible recipes to take home to add into your everyday dishes and drinks
Wild edibles available at the time of the workshop will depend on the season.



Basic survival skills: How to thrive in the wild!
Watch Cath demonstrate the skills needed to live a life in the wild! Discover the principles behind the four basic needs of survival: food, water, shelter and heat. You will be guided through practical techniques and learn hands-on how to do them safely for yourselves. Boost your confidence in practical skills and wow friends and family with your knowledge and newfound resourcefulness!

Essential information for both experiences

All experiences are private to your family or group and involve dedicated, personalised instruction by Cath Moyle.

They can be tailored to adults, children or both.

Costs: Adults £40. Children aged four-plus £20. Children aged three and under go free. Family saver tickets: two adults with one child £90; two adults with two children £99.

All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Session timings are flexible and Cath will do her best to tailor them to your holiday schedule and/or daylight hours depending on availability.

Cath Moyle is the founder of natur ni. She is a qualified Forest School Leader through Cambium Sustainable and has an Enhanced DBS Check, First Aid Training, Safeguarding and Food Hygiene Level 2.
