Frequently asked questions
Q. How do I pay for my stay?
Advance bookings should be paid for in full at the time of booking. Please ask for our bank details. Last minute bookings can be paid for in cash on arrival.
Q. What if I need to change or cancel my booking?
You are free to cancel or change the timing of your stay up to one week before arrival. Changes and cancellations after that are subject to an administration charge of 50 per cent of the amount paid. Changes made on the day of arrival cannot be accepted. In the exceptional case where we need to cancel your booking, for example due to problems on-site, we will offer you an equivalent stay at another time or return any money you have paid us.
Q. I see you are part of Go Explore Camping Club. Do I need to join the club to stay with you?
Booking to stay at Orchid Meadows provides automatic free membership of Go Explore Camping Club. No data is shared with Go Explore Camping Club as part of this enrolment and no responsibilities or obligations are conferred on you as a member of the club. Your membership will last for the duration of your stay at Orchid Meadows. Our association with the Go Explore Camping Club gives us the legal basis for operating.
Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is anytime from 4pm to 7pm (later arrival by arrangement). Check-out is by 10.30am on the day of departure.
Q. What do I need to bring with me?
You must ensure your campervan includes adequate and appropriate working fire and carbon monoxide warning devices, fire-fighting equipment, first aid kit and torches for use outside at night. Please note, there is no electric hook-up or waste disposal point available. Your campervan must be fully self-contained apart from water supply.
Q. Can I book the whole site for a group?
Yes, you can, and if the whole site is yours, you can also bring extra guests in additional campervans or tents. Please contact us direct to discuss your needs.
Q. How far away are the nearest shops and pubs?
Tregaron is just a couple of miles away, although it is not easy to get to on-foot. There you will find a Spar shop with post office, three butcher's, a baker's, a chemist, a hotel/pub, cafes, a Chinese takeaway, a fish and chip shop and gift shops.
Q. Is there anything else I should know?
