Orchid Meadows joins Rewilding Britain

A bench looks out across wilderness

Our aim at Orchid Meadows has always been to maximise the value of the land to wildlife and to restore perhaps was once here. With this in mind, we have joined lots of similar incredibly important projects by becoming a member of Rewilding Britain, a growing network of landowners and organisations working to put nature back into the landscape.

We believe people and nature can thrive together, that nature's needs must be put first and that nature is vital to the success of our glamping business. What we achieve here, as a 25-acre small-holding, will inevitably be on a small scale but lots of little things can add up to something big.

There are a number of rewilding mini-projects underway at Orchid Meadows: woodland creation, wetland restoration, increasing orchid numbers and looking at ways to reintroduce marsh fritillary butterflies. You can find out more here.
