This is Monty, our new cockerel. He is of uncertain breed, or mixture of breeds more likely, but nevertheless remains handsome, which is sure to woo the girls. Just not quite yet. Katy, Jackie and the four Saras are still to get used to him being around and are trying to firmly keep him in his place. The time will come when they realise he's getting much bigger than them and then, presumably, common bird sense will kick in. Monty is still training his vocal chords and cannot do a proper dawn crow at the moment. He is practising but is currently sounding more like a peacock depressed after listening to too much gothic rock.
