It's officially the start of spring because we have thrown caution to the March winds and planted up our seed trays. You're probably wondering what's what in the picture and, at this point in time, a guide is definitely needed. So, on the right in the flat trays we have a lot of peas, which we've decided to go into in a bigger way than last year. Then to the left are runner beans. Also appearing are Swiss chard, turnips, beetroot, sweetcorn, cucumbers, lettuce, summer squash, rosemary and thyme. New potatoes have already gone in the ground and the maincrop variety will be following shortly. Our forever pecking hens have been helping get our raised beds in good shape, supervised by Monty the cockerel. Fresh veg is on the way again!
